Instructor: Tatiana Rivera
This is a 4 session course.
Class Dates: Thursday January 19th, February 2nd & 16th, and March 2nd, at 12 PM (PST).
The word apologetics originates from the Greek word apologia.
Though it sounds like the English word ‘apology’, the meaning is significantly different.
Apologia was the term used when making a legal defense in an ancient court. It is a careful defense of one’s beliefs or actions. It is not a regretful acknowledgment of an offense or failure.
Christian apologetics then is the defense of the Christian faith. We defend the faith through logic and evidence-based arguments.
We are called to love God with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our mind. Therefore, if we are to love Him with our minds, we need to know and have the ability to articulate why we believe what we believe.
As we embark on this course, we will explore the world of apologetics one small bite at a time. In the hope that parents will begin to teach young children more than just stories, and guide them to the feet of the Father.
