Diana Waring is one of the pioneers of homeschooling. For more than three decades, homeschoolers around the world have been encouraged and inspired by her authenticity, transparent stories, and gentle humor. Author and publisher of the History Revealed world history curriculum, Diana is now writing an American history curriculum—with the same emphasis on engaging students and seeing God’s heart in history. She has also created, in collaboration with Dr. Kathy Koch, the 8 Kinds of Smart DVD for families. In addition, she teaches students online, blogs, writes occasionally for The Homeschool Minute, sings at the drop of a hat, laughs with her husband, and fervently follows the Lord.

But what will she bring to you?? The perspective that: Children can be not only loved, but liked (a critical component in homeschooling success); Learning can be far richer and more enjoyable when students engage in the process; A powerful motivation is unleashed when we provide a variety of ways to learn the material; The study of history is a natural overarching framework for most other subjects, and allows far greater understanding and retention when learned in this way; Teaching history in light of God’s involvement in the world not only increases a robust comprehension of faith and history, but impacts the students’ personal faith.

From Ordinary to Extraordinary—A Multi-Faceted Approach to Learning

What happens when our children come “face to face” with a breath-taking event in history that is captured by a painting, architecture, music, literature, drama or engineering feat? In her day, Charlotte Mason invited children to move beyond superficial acquaintance with a historical “fact,” and welcomed them into a rich environment where they actually engaged with learning, where they had their own thoughts and questions and ideas. This approach is what transforms the everyday, ho-hum experience of education into an extraordinary adventure! Join Diana Waring as she explores this topic with a wealth of practical concepts and stories. You will be refreshed and encouraged!

Welcome to Diana Waring—History Revealed! We have an “Education That’s Relational” Approach to Homeschooling, which means:

Your family is unique. Your kids are distinctive. Homeschooling nurtures this. So, when an education is relational, students thrive. Why? Because this loving environment and authentic approach to learning welcomes them into the learning experience.

And to help your kids thrive in homeschooling, our history curriculum:
engages and excites parent and child,
is flexible and relatable for all types of learners,
uses the 8 Kinds of Smart and a wide range of choices
and honors God above all.

Together with you, we help your students love what they learn!
