2023 Conference

The Beauty of the Charlotte Mason Approach For Students with Reading Struggles

In this session, Faith will discuss the necessary foundational “threads” for building students’ “reading rope”, some of the underlying reasons why students may be struggling with reading, share teaching strategies to implement at home to address these areas, as well as talk about how Charlotte Mason’s ideas and approaches to teaching reading are beneficial.  Additionally, Faith will discuss how and when “twaddle” may be useful (for a short season) in your Charlotte Mason-style teaching at home.  Faith shares practical ideas, resources, and strategies that she has implemented with her own children and those whom she has tutored over the years.
